Challenges
Lots of coordination with architect, client, municipality. The balcony slabs were covered with tin. In order to install the railings, the sealing would have to be broken: the client was against this. The perimeter gutters for rainwater drainage had already been installed, so the railings could not be attached traditionally from the side. This created a force majeure situation.
I personally traveled to the site to solve the problem. I made a personal visit to the site to solve the problem. I had to find a solution for fixing the railings that was both technically and aesthetically acceptable. As a result: the stainless steel railings were mounted from the side along the perimeter of the balconies with the posts set away from the slab, but with the glass set back to ensure proper comfort and safety for the dwellers. Custom details had to be manufactured for this effect. I personally supervised the assembly process.
Done
- Safe and aesthetically designed railings were fabricated and installed onto the balconies
- We also offered the client a partitioning solution for terraces and balconies with WPC decking: a custom profile that was covered with facade boards. The solution was completed on a turnkey basis.
- The customer received a complete solution at a much lower price than local suppliers. This was possible thanks to the individual database we have built up over several years.
- The task was fulfilled. We have a good partnership with the customer, and we are still working together today.
